But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

In some cases this might look like a criticism of set prayer; it could be. I see this as a call to build relationships. Meaningful relationships are not based on memorized words. If we want to build a relationship we need to really communicate. We need to use the words that we mean.
In business using our own words is essential to success. The people you interact with recognize your sincerity and competency. Without sincerity and competency you will never make a sale, or close a deal.
Exhibit the confidence to say what you know. It is fine to admit that you don’t have all the answers right now, but that you can find out. People trust you when you are honest and willing.
Consider the words that you use.  Your challenge is to say honest words that build relationships, and friendships. Maybe even break out that copy of “How to win friends and influence people” and brush up your relationship skills by using honest and sincere words.
